I realized eventually that life isn't a project to be managed. It's a garden to be grown.
There is an old piece of wisdom that stayed with me: "A fence put up fast falls down fast." Real, permanent change is slow, quiet, and biological. It's not about intensity; it's about unbreakability.
"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler." — Albert Einstein
The Mental Acre. I want you to imagine that at birth, you were given one acre of land. It was clean, quiet, and it was yours. Nobody else's.
But as we grow up, we lose the deed. We let other people dump their trash on our soil. We let "weeds"—distractions, doom-scrolling, and other people's opinions—choke the roots of what we actually care about. We forget that we are the owners.
The Forest Growth Protocol is the simple, visual system I built to take my land back. It's based on the idea that you can stop "fixing" yourself and start tending.
How The Forest Grows. In my garden, I don't think about "tasks." I think about Trees. Every major area of my life—my family, my work, my health—is a tree. Some are just seeds, and some are giants. My only job is to "water" them a little bit every day.
I don't have to be a genius to do this. I can "borrow seeds" from people who have already grown amazing forests—mentors, leaders, and the greats who left their stories in books. I can visit their gardens to see what's possible, then bring those seeds home to my own soil.
The Open Gate. I used to think self-improvement was a lonely path. But now I realize I'm building a forest so I can eventually open the gate. I'm creating a place of shade, beauty, and fruit that I can invite the people I love to enjoy.
This is why I don't give up. Even on the days when I feel "down," I can still see my Acre in my mind. I know where the trees are. I know that as long as I don't abandon the land, things will grow.
If you're tired of systems that are too loud and too complicated, I'd like to show you how I map my forest. It's visual, it's simple, and it starts the moment you decide to take ownership of your ground again.
With clarity,
MJ
